Let’s enjoy English
[The 3rd and 4th graders]
Warming up is a JANKEN game. A girl won over the “LAST-BOSS”
principal. By the way, a baby duck is a KO-GAMO(子鴨) in Japanese and
a duckling in English. A baby dog is a KO-INU(子犬) in Japanese and a
puppy in English. Cultural differences are manifested in language
differences. In the end, they enjoyed a bingo game by asking their
favorite colors.
[The 5th and 6th graders]
The 6th graders researched endangered animals and presented about
their habitat and the foods they eat and the causes of their
endangered species. They were also preparing materials for the
presentation. The 5th graders opened a restaurant and ordered and
served food to the 6th graders who became customers. The teachers
also enjoyed being customers.
